Whiskies and beers of Scotland Castle Stuart Scottish Open
The Scottish Open has become a fixture on both the Scottish and the international golfing calendar. In 2011 -13 the tournament was held at the Highland links course Castle Stuart overlooking the Moray Firth near Nairn, Scotland. In 2014 it will move to Aberdeen and will return to Castle Stuart in future years.
Speyside Whisky Trail
Distilleries producing some of the most famous whiskies of Scotland can be found within a half an hour drive of Nairn. The Spirit of Speyside whisky festival is held every year in May; next one is 1st to 5th May 2014.
